Danielle,

Thanks for reaching out about working with a partner/agency to get college students to use WAZE. I can see an idea already of helping students who can feel lost in life, find their way.

I’ve compiled some relevant work (below) that we’ve done both at GTT as well as some experience/work done prior to forming GTT

We understand you are hoping to resolve this quick, so I’ll let the work speak for itself and if you have any questions on the work or how GTT works, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Good luck going through all your solicitations and while we may be an outlier, we hope we can offer a helpful, efficient and effective alternative.

Either way, looking forward to hearing what you think.

best,

-Mark

AS A NEW BIOTECH STARTUP, INARI AGRICULTURE NEEDED A BRAND TO APPEAL TO THE NEW ‘NON-CORPORATE’ INCLUDING RECENT GRADS + CURRENT UNDERGRADS

Cambridge, MA is where MIT and Harvard University are located. And it’s also a hotbed of biotech start ups; It’s the Silicon Valley of the East Coast. You can’t walk by a building without a new logo of a new company on it. As part of the branding effort in launching their new biotech startup, Inari Ag also needed to start recruiting early. After all, they were a start up and needed the smartest of the smartest to help them realize their goals. So as we built their brand platform, part of it was aimed at recruiting recent undergrads and grads to come work at Inari. So Gypsies Tramps + Thieves worked with Inari to create a branding platform that presented themselves as a new nimble player in the ag space and fulfilling place to start a career.

“They Are They” AN INTERACTIVE “MINIFESTO"
Manifestos can be long. So we create “minifestos” for clients. Shorter, less heavy. And we made the one we wrote for Inari, interactive.

ANIMATED BRAND STATEMENTS
These animated videos were created as social teasers to extend the brand to the younger/university aged target to launch Inari's brand and upcoming website. They also exist on the site as brand statements of their beliefs. These were created in-house through GT+T Labs.

"A NEW HORIZON IN AGRICULTURE" CONTENT SERIES
We wrote, directed, produced and edited a series of pieces that featured several employees of Inari talking about the culture, the challenge and the rewards. A large part was to portray Inari as a new place to work and continue what you started in college. We used employees who themselves were recent college grad students.

PAST EXPERIENCE: AWARD WINNING WORK AIMED AN AUDIENCE POSSIBLY EVEN MORE SKEPTICAL AND HARD TO BOND WITH THAN TODAY’S COLLEGE STUDENTS.

While this campaign was NOT specifically targeted to university/college students, it was targeted at an audience even more skeptical; Extreme/alternate sports enthusiasts. We included it for the WAZE project to show how we understand how to talk to very selective and specific audiences. At the time of this launch, this group was left off of most marketer’s radars and went undeveloped. We found a brand voice that connected to them when no other large automotive brand was. This activated them where they lived and played to turn the The Xterra launch into Nissan’s most successful to that point. The work was ultimately rewarded with many awards including the Grand Effie in 2001.

XTERRA: Print Campaign

ARGOSY UNIVERSITY CAME TO GYPSIES TRAMPS + THIEVES TO HELP BRAND AND RAISE AWARENESS OF THEIR GRADUATE SCHOOL OF BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES TO UNDERGRADS.

While this was a campaign FOR a university program, it was a grad program that looked to appeal to folks who were formerly college students. We had to help Argosy connect with them and offer up the idea of becoming a student once again. We approached this by challenging them to shape their future, rather than promising them how easy it could be.
